Toney scores sixth hat-trick as Al Ahli thrashes Abha

England striker Ivan Toney continued his prolific scoring form for Saudi club Al Ahli, netting his sixth hat-trick in a commanding 4-0 win against Abha in the second round of the Saudi Pro League.

Toney's impressive performance saw him score twice before halftime and complete his treble in the second half. This achievement places him as the second player in the current league season to score a hat-trick, following Al-Ettifaq's Moussa Dembélé.

With these three goals, Toney has now amassed 12 career hat-tricks, six of which have come since his transfer from Brentford to Al Ahli in the summer of 2024. His notable trebles for the Jeddah-based club include a memorable 3-2 victory over Al Hilal in February 2025, and subsequent hat-tricks against Al Khaleej, Al-Ettifaq, Al-Najma, and Al Fateh last season.

The decisive victory propelled Al Ahli to third place in the league table with six points. In contrast, Abha remains at the bottom of the standings, 17th, having lost both of their opening matches without scoring.
