Top US general reportedly looking for ‘off-ramp’ from Iran war

A top U.S. general is reportedly seeking an "off-ramp" from the war with Iran, expressing concerns that current military options could backfire. Meanwhile, in Colombia, right-wing lawyer Abelardo de la Espriella has been sworn in as the country's new president. De la Espriella, who won a June runoff, promised to crack down on armed groups, reduce the size of the state, restore ties with Israel, and revive the oil and gas sector. His election marks the end of Colombia's first-ever leftist government.
