Toyota C-HR Gets Refreshed With New Features and Hybrid Option for GR Sport

Toyota has introduced a refreshed C-HR crossover SUV for the European market, enhancing its appeal with updated features and a new powertrain choice for the sporty GR Sport model. The popular C-HR, which has sold over 2.1 million units globally since its 2016 debut, sees its latest iteration aim to maintain its strong sales, particularly in Europe where it accounts for 1.2 million units.

The Mid+ trim level receives a visual upgrade with new 18-inch alloy wheels featuring a matte black and chrome two-tone design. Inside, the seats are now upholstered in a new Samara material, offering a refined gray and black aesthetic for both front and rear occupants.

A significant addition for the GR Sport model is the introduction of a 1.8-liter hybrid powertrain. This option delivers a combined output of 140 horsepower, providing a more accessible entry point for performance-oriented buyers. The C-HR GR Sport continues to offer the more powerful 2.0-liter hybrid with 198 horsepower and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant producing 223 horsepower, the latter capable of an electric-only range of 66 kilometers.

Across the entire new model year C-HR range, a standard head-up display is now included. Optional features include a two-tone paint scheme, a panoramic sunroof, and a JBL premium sound system. Models equipped with the 1.8-liter hybrid will feature 18-inch wheels, while the 2.0-liter hybrid and PHEV versions will be fitted with larger 20-inch wheels, further distinguishing their premium positioning.
