Toyota Land Cruiser Se electric SUV to debut in 2027, promising dynamic handling

Toyota is gearing up to introduce the Land Cruiser Se, the anticipated final addition to its esteemed Land Cruiser lineup. Set to debut globally in 2027, this new model will break from tradition by adopting a pure electric powertrain and a unibody construction, a departure from the rugged ladder frames typically found in the series. This shift is expected to make the Land Cruiser Se the most dynamically capable vehicle within the family.

The vehicle is projected to measure 5,150x1,990x1,705mm with a 3,050mm wheelbase. Despite a lower profile, its dimensions will be the largest in the Land Cruiser range, offering a spacious and comfortable 7-seater cabin. The exterior design retains the Land Cruiser's signature boxy, rugged aesthetic, complemented by a贯穿式 LED headlight design and distinctive trapezoidal LED lighting on the front bumper. Its pure electric identity is signaled by a closed-off front grille, while design elements like a floating roof and large multi-spoke alloy wheels add a sporty flair. Inside, the Land Cruiser Se is rumored to feature Toyota's next-generation "NEO Steer" cabin. This innovative setup may incorporate a unique One Motion Grip steering wheel that integrates both throttle and brake functions. The dashboard will likely be dominated by two large screens, set against a robust, off-road-inspired interior design. Under the hood, speculation points to a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering an estimated 500 horsepower, leveraging the instant torque characteristic of electric vehicles.
