Toyota's redesigned Corolla Touring wagon previewed with larger interior

Toyota is gearing up to unveil its next-generation Corolla lineup, with the practical Touring wagon variant anticipated to make its debut in December. Recent renderings, based on insider information, offer a glimpse of the upcoming model's potential design.

The new Corolla Touring is expected to feature Toyota's distinctive "Hammerhead" front-end design, characterized by sharp, slender daytime running lights, creating a recognizable and modern appearance. The vehicle's profile will be enhanced by sculpted side character lines and slightly flared wheel arches, contributing to a sportier wagon aesthetic. Furthermore, the dimensions of the new Corolla Touring are set to increase, promising expanded rear passenger space and greater cargo capacity.

Inside, the cabin is likely to mirror the design language of the latest Camry, featuring a horizontal dashboard layout. This will be complemented by a new driver interface, combining a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch central touchscreen. The integration of the new Arene OS infotainment system is also expected, aiming to boost technological convenience.

Under the hood, the new Corolla generation will likely be powered by a newly developed 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, available with hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options.
