TPBL's New Taipei CTBC DEA Signs American Center Marvin Jones

The New Taipei CTBC DEA professional basketball team has announced a significant roster change, confirming that all four foreign players from the previous season will not be returning. In their place, the team has signed American center Marvin Jones, a move aimed at bolstering their frontcourt for the upcoming season.

Jones, a 32-year-old, 213cm (7-foot) player, can operate as both a power forward and a center. He brings a wealth of international experience, having played in leagues across Europe and Asia. His career includes stints in Greece, Slovenia, Israel, Spain, and the Philippines. Notably, he won the FIBA Europe Cup in the 2024-25 season and played in the Greek and Philippine leagues during the 2025-26 season.

In his most recent stint in the PBA (Philippines Basketball Association) in 2026, Jones averaged an impressive 21.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game over 17 appearances, showcasing his dominant presence in the paint.
