Traffic accident occurs during manual traffic control in Bishkek

A traffic accident unfolded at a busy intersection in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, during a period of manual traffic regulation. The incident, captured on video and shared on social media, occurred at the intersection of Manas Avenue and Gorky Street.

The footage reveals a traffic inspector actively directing vehicles with a raised baton, signaling them to halt. Simultaneously, the traffic lights at the intersection were also operational.

Despite the inspector's clear signal to stop, several vehicles proceeded through the intersection. It appears one driver complied with the signal and braked, but a following vehicle was unable to stop in time and collided with the car ahead.

The incident raises questions about driver awareness and adherence to traffic signals, particularly when manual control is in effect alongside functioning traffic lights.
