Trailer truck overturns on National Freeway No. 1 in Changhua, causing severe traffic backup

A serious accident on National Freeway No. 1 in Changhua, Taiwan, caused major traffic disruptions early this morning. A trailer truck overturned on the northbound lanes of the Changhua strategic road section, blocking all lanes and spilling its cargo onto the roadway.

The incident, which occurred around 7 a.m., led to a traffic backlog stretching 3 kilometers. Emergency services, including the Changhua County Fire Bureau and National Freeway Police, were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and clear the debris.

Authorities reported that the northbound lanes were completely closed following the accident. While the outer lanes were reopened around 6:30 a.m., cleanup operations continued until 7 a.m. The cause of the collision and responsibility are currently under investigation by the National Freeway Police.
