Train bus period on Zealand extended for third time in a day

Train services between Ringsted and Slagelse on Zealand face further disruption as replacement bus services have been extended for the third time in a single day. The services are now scheduled to run until 9 p.m. Monday evening, according to DSB, the Danish national railway company.

Banedanmark, responsible for the track work, has provided a new timeline, indicating that passengers should anticipate waiting times. The period of bus replacements has been repeatedly extended throughout the day, initially planned to conclude at 2 p.m., then pushed to 5 p.m., and later to 7 p.m. before the latest extension.

The extensive track work, originally expected to finish Monday morning, was hampered by a storm Sunday evening. This weather event prevented Banedanmark from completing the necessary tasks on schedule, leading to the ongoing disruptions and repeated extensions of the bus services.
