Transcorp Hilton Abuja has moved to quell rumors of a persistent water shortage, issuing a clear statement to address misleading social media reports. The hotel confirmed a brief, one-day interruption in water supply, directly attributing it to essential emergency maintenance conducted by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board on April 14, 2026.

We confirm that there was a one-day disruption in water supply, resulting from emergency maintenance works by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board (FCTWB), which commenced on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Management emphasized that robust contingency plans were immediately activated, ensuring that guest services and overall operations remained unaffected. This proactive approach highlights the hotel's commitment to maintaining its high standards of hospitality even during unforeseen circumstances.

In response, hotel management promptly implemented contingency measures to ensure continued water availability, maintaining guest comfort and uninterrupted service throughout the maintenance period.

Contrary to circulating falsehoods, Transcorp Hilton Abuja clarified that water supply was completely restored on April 15, 2026. Since then, the hotel has experienced consistent and uninterrupted service, operating at full capacity.
