Trapped for 3 Days: Kitten Rescued in 2-Hour Operation

A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Aydın, Turkey, where a young kitten was saved after being trapped in a storm drain for three days. The incident occurred on Ayko 1. Street in the Kemer neighborhood of the Efeler district.

Citizens alerted the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and Public Works Department after noticing the kitten stuck beneath the grates. Rescue teams immediately responded, initiating a careful operation to ensure the animal's safety. They meticulously removed each grate, working for about two hours before successfully extracting the distressed kitten.

Onlookers closely followed the rescue efforts, expressing their gratitude to the dedicated teams for their compassionate work. Following the successful extraction, the kitten underwent a health check and was found to be in good condition. It was subsequently released back into its natural environment, safe and sound after its harrowing ordeal.
