Trevor Bauer returns to Diablos Rojos del México aiming for another championship

Two years after his departure, American pitcher Trevor Bauer has officially rejoined the Diablos Rojos del México. Bauer expressed his enthusiasm for returning to the team he helped secure the 2024 Mexican League championship, calling it a "pleasure to be here."

"I am very excited to be back in the Diablos organization, to see all my friends and family, the training staff, especially the players," Bauer said during his official presentation. He is set to make his return to the mound this Saturday, July 4th, in the second game of the series against the Piratas de Campeche.

Bauer's previous stint with the Diablos was highly successful. He set a league record for most strikeouts in a single game with 19 and achieved an immaculate inning. He also led the 2024 season in wins with 10 and strikeouts with 120, earning him Pitcher of the Year honors.

The pitcher stated he returns with more experience and new tools to face league hitters. "Opposing players will be prepared, I'm sure, and there are many very good offenses in this league. So it will be a good challenge, for sure, I'm excited for it, but I've also improved as a pitcher. I have new pitches, and more experience under my arm," Bauer explained.

His return is a significant boost for the Diablos Rojos, who aim to maintain their dominance in the league. The team is seeking its third consecutive championship, and Bauer's presence is expected to be a key factor in achieving that goal.
