Trine Dyrholm to Perform on Heartland's Biggest Stage

Danish actress Trine Dyrholm is set to perform on the main stage, Greenfield, at the 10th-anniversary Heartland festival on June 18. The special jubilee concert, named "Songs from the Heart," aims to explore music's profound emotions like sorrow, love, longing, and joy.

Festival-goers can expect a blend of artistic expressions, as journalist Anders Lund Madsen will guide attendees through conversations about the music, feelings, and stories behind the performances. Sara Alvad, the festival's program and communications manager, highlighted Heartland's commitment to mixing art forms and fostering connections between music, dialogue, and people. She noted that this format invites the audience into a more intimate and shared musical experience where songs and emotions take center stage.

It is part of Heartland's DNA to mix different art forms and create encounters between music, conversations, and people.

This performance precedes Dyrholm's own concert tour, "Songs I Have Sung," scheduled for spring 2027, marking 40 years since her participation in the 1987 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the band Moonlighters. The festival lineup also boasts international acts like Duran Duran and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, alongside Danish artists such as The Minds of 99, Gnags, and Hugorm.

Heartland festival, held at Egeskov Castle on Funen, integrates music with food, art, and conversations. Søren Huss will also engage in a discussion with author Naja Marie Aidt titled "On Surviving - and Living With - the Worst Possible." Both Huss and Aidt have experienced profound personal loss, adding a layer of depth to their dialogue. Additionally, actress Ghita Nørby and former politician Bertel Haarder will participate in talks on "Danishness, education, and spiritual armament."
