Rescue operatives from TRACE, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the police, and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) were dispatched to the scene.

Eyewitness accounts suggest the Mack truck, identified by license plate GDD 215 XD, lost its brakes before colliding with and killing a pedestrian. The TRACE spokesperson confirmed that the presumed deceased had been transported to a morgue by the FRSC.
