Trump announces White House economic adviser acting chair Yared to depart

Pierre Yared, the acting chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers (CEA), is departing his role to return to teaching at Columbia University's graduate school. President Donald Trump announced the move on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Yared has served as acting CEA chair since September of the previous year. Trump lauded Yared and his team for their diligent work, stating they "worked day and night" to "Make America WEALTHY Again" and achieve "outstanding results."

The President expressed gratitude for Yared's contributions to the nation and extended well wishes for his future. According to Columbia Business School's website, Yared has been a professor of International Business in the economics field since 2007.

The Council of Economic Advisers, established in 1946, is tasked with providing the President with recommendations on domestic and international economic policy. As of now, the White House has not announced a successor, and Yared is still listed as acting chairman on the official website.
