Trump campaign, White House use Taylor Swift songs in videos

The Trump campaign and the White House have recently used two Taylor Swift songs in social media videos, sparking attention given the pop star's past political endorsements and criticisms of Donald Trump.

One TikTok video from the Trump campaign featured Swift's "Red (Taylor's Version)" with captions referencing Trump and the Biden-Harris administration. Another video on the campaign's TikTok page used Swift's "I Knew It, I Knew You," showing Trump interacting with children and at rallies, captioned "Nobody loves our country & the American People more than @President Donald J Trump."

This is not the first time the Trump administration or campaign has used Swift's music. In April, the White House shared a video of the Artemis II crew meeting Trump, which included Swift's "High Infidelity." In November, a White House TikTok video featured "The Fate of Ophelia" from Swift's "The Life of a Showgirl" album.

Swift has not recently commented on Trump, but she endorsed his Democratic rival, then-Vice President Kamala Harris, in 2024.
