Trump envoy meets closed doors! Iran: No talks scheduled with U.S. at any level

Iran has firmly stated that no meetings are scheduled with any level of U.S. officials in the coming days, casting a shadow over prospects for lasting peace. This declaration follows the arrival of a U.S. envoy in the Middle East for what the White House described as "high-level" talks.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei emphasized that "no meetings are scheduled with the Americans at any level in the coming days." This stance underscores significant differences between the two nations, particularly concerning the critical details of a ceasefire agreement signed two weeks prior. Officials indicated that these details must be clarified before more complex issues, such as restrictions on Iran's nuclear program, can be addressed.

The U.S. envoy, including President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff, arrived in Doha, Qatar. However, both Iran and Qatar have indicated that the U.S. delegation will engage with mediators rather than directly with Iranian officials. While lower-level technical talks were originally planned, Iran's firm rejection of direct engagement at any level signals a continued impasse in U.S.-Iran relations.
