Trump: Iran will face bombing of Tehran's bridges and power plants if ships attacked

President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, stating that any attack on ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz will be met with a forceful U.S. response. Trump declared on his Truth Social platform that for every instance of Iran using "missiles, rockets, drones, or any other device or weapon" to target vessels in the strait, the U.S. will "destroy one of their bridges or one of their power plants" near or inside Tehran.

This latest threat echoes a similar warning issued by the president just days prior. On July 14, Trump had already announced that if Iran failed to reach an agreement related to "previous deals" by the end of that week, the U.S. would "knock out all of their oil refineries. Knock out their great facility that they used for the centrifuges. And frankly, we're going to knock the hell out of them."

From this point on, whenever the Islamic Republic of Iran engages in any attack, using missiles, rockets, drones, or any other device or weapon, against any ship in the Strait of Hormuz, the United States will destroy one of their bridges or one of their power plants, including any located near or inside Tehran.

The heightened tensions come as U.S. forces have reportedly been engaged in airstrikes against Iranian military targets for 11 consecutive days. Reports indicate that infrastructure, including bridges, roads, and railways, has also been impacted by these strikes.
