Donald Trump's social media venture, Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), has reportedly explored charging traders and investors as much as $100,000 per month for expedited access to posts made by the former U.S. president on his Truth Social platform. The Financial Times reported these discussions, citing sources familiar with the matter. TMTG did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Reuters, which could not independently verify the report.

This potential revenue stream comes as TMTG faces challenges in expanding its media business amidst stiff competition from established social media giants. The company recently announced a new product, "Truth API." This paid, licensed data feed is designed to provide financial institutions, such as banks and trading firms, with "the fastest" access to content from key Truth Social accounts.

A spokesperson for TMTG stated that the Truth API product will deliver posts from the platform's 10 most influential accounts at a significantly quicker pace than standard push notifications. This initiative marks TMTG's first foray into data licensing, aiming to establish a new source of income for the company.
