Trump renames Lake Ontario 'Lake America' amid trade dispute with Canada

In a move that redefines geographical boundaries amidst a heated trade dispute, U.S. President Donald Trump has issued an order to rename Lake Ontario as 'Lake America.' The decision, effective immediately, escalates the ongoing tariff war between the United States and Canada.

Trump, who has long harbored ambitions of Canada becoming the 51st U.S. state, has previously depicted the neighboring country as part of the United States on his social media platform. He has also referred to Canadian leaders Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney as "governors," diminishing their titles and perceived authority.

"Canada has been ripping us off for a long time, wanting to be treated like a state but it is not, and this must end," Trump declared from the Oval Office, expressing his frustration with Ottawa's refusal to yield to his demands.
