Trump Reveals Space Force Uniform, Sparking Comparisons to Nazi Attire

Donald Trump has offered a glimpse of what could become the new U.S. Space Force uniform, but the black outfit quickly drew comparisons online to the uniforms of Nazi SS forces.

The president posted an AI-generated image on Truth Social. The design was described as inspired by the “discipline and functionality” of the uniform from the film “Starship Troopers.” Its black color, belt, knee-high boots and cap also brought to mind Darth Vader’s costume from the “Star Wars” saga.

Many social media users, however, focused on another resemblance. They pointed to similarities between the proposed outfit and Nazi SS attire. It remains unclear whether Trump’s image represents the Space Force’s final uniform or merely a proposal.

Shortly before posting the uniform image, Trump shared a picture of the moon with the words “the moon is ours” and a small American flag. In late August, he also announced the creation of a U.S. Space Academy to train future professionals in the expanding space program.

Under the executive order he signed, the academy would train not only astronauts but also scientists, engineers, operators, entrepreneurs, public officials and combat personnel. Graduates would be required to serve for a period in the armed forces or at NASA.
