Trump says he made hundreds of billions for the US, alongside an unsourced chart

Donald Trump said he had made hundreds of billions of dollars for the United States, not for himself, while posting a series of images that appeared to have been created with artificial intelligence.

The US president shared the material on Truth Social. One image showed him watching stock markets on several monitors at the White House. Alongside it, he wrote, “I have made hundreds of billions of dollars for America, not myself, in stocks and various other assets.” He also complained that radical left Democrats criticized him despite his work for the country.

CNBC reported that Trump had posted dozens of AI-generated-looking images and unverified claims. The report pointed to the US government’s acquisition of about a 10% stake in semiconductor company Intel last August. A White House announcement cited by CNBC on May 18 said the stake was worth more than $50 billion.

CNBC also highlighted Truth API, a paid service operated by Trump Media, which it described as costing $100,000 a month. The report presented these examples while examining Trump’s broad claim about the money he had generated for the United States.
