Trump Secretly Moved to Smaller Plane Amid Security Threat in Turkey

Former U.S. President Donald Trump secretly departed Turkey last month on a smaller aircraft, bypassing his usual large plane, Air Force One. This clandestine transfer occurred due to a specific threat that officials deemed serious enough to endanger his life.

The operation involved a discreet maneuver on the tarmac. A food supply truck was positioned alongside Air Force One, allowing Trump and a select group of aides to disembark and board a smaller plane. This method ensured a lower profile departure.

Among the close associates who accompanied Trump on the smaller aircraft were Natalie Harp, his executive assistant; Dan Scavino, White House deputy chief of staff; and Walt Nauta, director of Oval Office operations. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also traveled with the president, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent remained on the larger plane.

According to a CNN source, the threat involved a shoulder-fired portable missile system targeting Air Force One. The intelligence behind this threat was considered significant, prompting the security measure. Trump himself commented that he followed the instructions of the Secret Service and military, accepting the change to a different flight with the same level of security.
