Trump Slams TV Networks for Refusing to Air Speech, Calls for License Revocation

U.S. President Donald Trump has sharply criticized television networks that declined to broadcast his speech concerning allegations of election fraud. Trump demanded that broadcasting licenses be revoked for these networks, implying their refusal to air his address makes them complicit in a conspiracy to manipulate the election.

"They and other media are part of this conspiracy. Such fraudulent behavior should lead to their licenses being revoked," Trump stated, according to Agence France-Presse. He argued that these networks use public airwaves, valued in the billions of dollars, without any payment, and are therefore obligated to provide fair coverage.

Trump specifically targeted ABC and NBC for not airing his speech. His claims of a rigged 2020 presidential election have been consistently rejected by the courts. Over 60 lawsuits filed by his campaign have failed to present any evidence of fraud substantial enough to change the election results. Recounts, audits, and investigations by his own Justice Department have also yielded no supporting evidence.

Reuters noted that Trump's continued dissemination of conspiracy theories about the election outcome has led some Democrats, including Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, to urge television stations not to broadcast his speeches, fearing he would continue to spread unsubstantiated claims.
