President Donald Trump departed Turkey on a secret military flight last month, a move prompted by a credible Iranian assassination threat, The Washington Post reported.

While the White House initially stated Trump was aboard Air Force One, he actually used an older plane as a decoy. He was secretly transported by a catering truck to an Air Force C-32A for his flight to Britain. This extraordinary measure was taken because of escalating hostilities with Iran, which borders Turkey.

Journalists traveling with the president were instructed to keep their window shades closed during the decoy flight. Trump later told reporters that the flight was potentially "dangerous." The new, Qatar-donated jet, which had undergone recent upgrades, was also present at the base, with Trump suggesting service members could tour it.

The White House, through Communications Director Steve Cheung, asserted that the Qatari-donated jet is equipped with high-level security protocols to ensure the president's safety. Cheung stated, "As the President has said recently, there are many enemies of America who have their sights on him, and we use every tool at our disposal to ensure his safety."
