Trump under pressure to back up claim of sabotage at reflecting pool

Pressure is mounting on Donald Trump and the Department of the Interior to substantiate claims of sabotage at the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool, a project now plagued by issues just before the United States' 250th anniversary.

Doubts about the sabotage claims were further fueled by a New York Times report citing government documents that did not indicate intentional damage as the cause of peeling paint and algae blooms.

The group criticized the project as a waste of taxpayer money and a "duck death trap."
