Trump unveils limited-edition passport featuring his likeness for 250th anniversary

Former President Donald Trump has revealed a design for a new limited-edition U.S. passport, intended to mark the country's 250th anniversary of independence. The mock-up, shared on his Truth Social platform, prominently features Trump's stern-faced likeness and signature.

Titled "The U.S.A.'s New Passport, which says, 'Welcome, but be good!'", the design showcases Trump leaning on his desk with the text of the Declaration of Independence in the background. A painting of the Declaration's signing in 1776 appears on the opposite page, alongside the text "United States of America 250."

The White House also posted the passport rendering, branding it the "PATRIOT Passport." The State Department had previously announced that a commemorative passport with custom artwork would be available starting July 6. An official had indicated in April that these Trump-themed passports would be offered at in-person appointments in Washington on a limited basis.

This move is part of a broader pattern of Trump leaving his personal mark on government institutions. His name was previously added to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, though a court later ruled for its removal. His signature is also set to appear on the one-dollar bill, and banners bearing his image have been displayed outside government buildings.
