Trump asserted that the U.S. military is "ready, willing, and able" to devastate Iran for a year, with the possibility of extension, should an assassination attempt occur. This strong rhetoric comes in response to public calls made in Iran during the recent funeral of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, where some voices advocated for Trump's assassination.
