Tucker Carlson planning to help build new US political party

Conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson revealed his intention to help create a new political party in the United States, asserting that the current two-party system has become a "one-party state posing as a democracy."

During an interview with Columbia Journalism Review, Carlson expressed frustration with the Republican and Democratic parties, stating they operate in "lockstep solidarity." He cited foreign policy as an example, noting that both President Donald Trump and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer supported regime-change wars. "If you vote for Trump and you still wind up in a regime-change war, if Chuck Schumer is strongly behind Trump’s foreign policy, which he is, then we need options," Carlson argued, adding, "I’m just too young to accept that."

Carlson, who was fired from Fox News, also discussed his views on Israel's actions, claiming he was "pushed into" talking about the country. He alleged that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's visit to the White House shortly after Trump's inauguration in 2025 was an early attempt to divert attention for the benefit of another country. Carlson asserted that these visits were part of a "regime-change effort in Iran," a topic he claimed to have discussed with Trump numerous times.

He described Israel's June 2025 war with Iran as a pivotal moment that was "not about Iran’s nuclear program" but rather the "first salvo in a regime-change effort led by Israel." Carlson stated that the US government's first priority should be the welfare of its own people. He sarcastically dismissed the idea of running for office himself, saying he would only run "on the pro-patriarchy ticket."
