Tunisia: 2025-2026 Journalist Cards Ready for Distribution

Tunisia's independent commission for awarding professional journalist credentials has announced that the national journalist cards for the 2025-2026 period are ready. Distribution is set to commence on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

The official distribution will take place at the commission's headquarters, located at 1, avenue Mohamed Béji Caïd Essebsi, Centre urbain nord in Tunis. This address corresponds to the information and communication services under the presidency of the government.

Freelance journalists, identified as independent professional journalists, will receive their cards directly from the commission. For journalists employed by media organizations, the cards will be handed over to the authorized representative of the respective media company. These representatives will need to present the company's official seal to claim the cards.

Furthermore, the commission has established a ten-day period for appeals against any decisions to refuse a journalist card. This appeal window begins from the date the official announcement is posted at the commission's headquarters and when it is published on the commission's official page.
