Tunisia Accelerates Digital Platform for Social Housing Applications

Tunisian authorities are urging the swift implementation of a new digital platform designed to streamline the management of social housing applications. The platform will handle both rent-to-own schemes and installment sales, with officials calling for a precise timeline to complete the project and increased public awareness campaigns.

During a recent follow-up meeting, the Minister of Equipment and Housing, Salah Zouari, stressed the importance of removing technical and administrative obstacles to finalize the platform promptly. He also highlighted the need for training regional cadres on its use to ensure its effective deployment across the country. The ministry stated that the platform is intended to digitize application procedures, increase transparency in social housing allocation, guarantee equal opportunities for beneficiaries, and expedite the process of acquiring property ownership while improving citizen services.
