A patient suffering from diabetes in Kasserine, Tunisia, has had her sight restored after a year of blindness, following a successful and complex retinal surgery. The procedure was carried out by the medical team at the Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Surgery department of the University Hospital Badreddine Aloui.

This recent success follows another notable medical achievement at the hospital: a successful cornea transplant performed on a 52-year-old woman.
