Tunisia Faces Return of Stormy Weather with Evening Thunderstorms

Tunisia is bracing for a return of stormy weather, with local thunderstorms anticipated Sunday evening. The National Institute of Meteorology forecasts these cells to form over the western highlands of the central region.

Residents can expect rain in the late afternoon and early evening hours. Following the storm activity, skies are projected to become partly cloudy nationwide. Winds will blow from the south in the northern and central parts of the country, and from the east in the south. Coastal areas may experience stronger gusts, while inland regions will see moderate winds.

The seas are expected to be slightly rough to rough. Temperatures will remain unseasonably high for this time of year. Overnight lows are forecast between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius (72-81°F) in the north, center, and southeast, while other regions could see temperatures ranging from 28 to 31 degrees Celsius (82-88°F), indicating a continued warm spell.
