Tunisia opens recruitment competition for 434 specialist doctors

Tunisia has opened a competition to recruit 434 specialist doctors for the public health sector, with the process scheduled to begin on Nov. 16, 2026. The decision, dated Sept. 4, was published in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic.

Of the positions, 433 will go to the Health Ministry across different specialties. One specialist in preventive and community medicine will join the National Authority for Evaluation and Accreditation in Healthcare through secondment.

The Finance Ministry will receive three seconded specialists in emergency medicine, medical imaging and pediatrics. The Interior Ministry will recruit 24 public-sector specialists in medical biology, psychiatry and family medicine. The Defense Ministry will receive 15 specialists across fields including anesthesiology and intensive care, pediatric surgery, cardiology, dermatology and clinical hematology.

Applications must be registered by Oct. 16, 2026. The same issue of the official gazette also announced competitions for 52 public-sector pharmacists, 53 public-sector dentists, two hospital doctors and three senior hospital doctors for 2026.
