Tunisian Super Cup Derby Set for January 31, 2027

Tunisian football fans will have to wait until early 2027 for a major derby clash. The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has announced that the Super Cup match for the 2025-2026 season, featuring rivals Club Africain and Espérance Sportive de Tunis, is scheduled for January 31, 2027.

The option of organizing this clash between Club Africain and Espérance on national soil is strongly considered.

The exact location for this highly anticipated match remains undecided. Belahssen Belsamra, a spokesperson for the FTF, indicated during a radio interview that organizing the derby on Tunisian soil is a strong possibility. He expressed confidence in the security forces' ability to manage the event safely, even with supporters from both clubs present.

However, Belsamra did not rule out the option of hosting the match abroad. This decision follows the definitive cancellation of the 2021-2022 Super Cup, which was originally set to pit Espérance de Tunis against Club Sportif Sfaxien.
