Turkey coach Montella pleased with team's energy and young talent after big win

Vincenzo Montella, head coach of the Turkish national football team, expressed great satisfaction with his team's dominant 4-0 performance against North Macedonia. "We came out seriously, we showed our stance. We saw the players who played less. We finished without conceding a goal, we are happy about that too," Montella stated after the match.

Addressing the Turkish public, Montella conveyed the team's immense energy and commitment. "My message to the Turkish people is; our energy is at its peak. We want to make everyone proud. We want to make our nation happy, we will play with our hearts on the field. We will do our best," he said. He also praised the contributions of younger players like Can Uzun, Aral Şimşir, and Deniz Gül, noting their successful integration into the national team. Montella emphasized his long-term vision, having previously called up players like Can Uzun and Kenan Yıldız when they were playing in lower leagues.

Regarding player fitness, Montella acknowledged that some key players, including Kenan Yıldız, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Arda Güler, and Kerem Aktürkoğlu, need to regain full match fitness. He specifically mentioned Arda Güler's valuable 30 minutes on the field and Ferdi Kadıoğlu's minor injury, stating, "Ferdi also came with a minor injury. He hasn't trained yet. We have time until our first match. We will try to get him as close to 100% as possible."

When asked about potential departures from the team, Montella firmly dismissed the question, reaffirming his complete dedication. "Frankly, I said it myself, I don't even want to comment!
