Turkey Investigates Chinese Artificial Leather Imports for Dumping

Turkey has launched a final review investigation into the import of "coagulated artificial leather" originating from China. The move comes in response to an application filed by domestic producers alleging unfair competition due to dumping practices.

The Ministry of Trade officially announced the decision, publishing the relevant regulation in the Official Gazette. This step confirms that sufficient evidence and documentation have been gathered to warrant a formal investigation into the import of these Chinese-origin products.

The investigation aims to assess whether the current anti-dumping measures in place are adequate or if further action is needed to protect the local industry. The assessment will determine if the imported artificial leather is being sold at prices below fair market value, harming Turkish manufacturers.
