Turkey opens applications for 2026 civil service exam

Turkey's Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) has officially launched the application period for the 2026 Kamu Personel Seçme Sınavı (KPSS) Ortaöğretim. This examination is a crucial step for high school graduates aspiring to secure positions within the public sector.

The application window is set to remain open from August 27 to September 8, 2026. Prospective candidates have multiple avenues to submit their applications, including visiting ÖSYM Application Centers, accessing the official ÖSYM website (ais.osym.gov.tr), or utilizing the ÖSYM Candidate Operations mobile application.

Further details regarding the examination schedule have also been confirmed. The main 2026-KPSS Ortaöğretim exam will take place on October 25, 2026. Additionally, the Din Hizmetleri Alan Bilgisi Testi (DHBT), required for those seeking roles in religious services under the Directorate of Religious Affairs, is scheduled for November 1, 2026.

ÖSYM has issued a specific advisory for candidates intending to take the DHBT at the secondary education level. These individuals must also apply for and take the 2026-KPSS Ortaöğretim exam on October 25, 2026.
