Turkey's 2026 YKS University Applications to Open July 29

University hopefuls in Turkey are gearing up for the critical YKS application period, set to commence on July 29, 2026. Following the release of exam results, students will begin navigating the official guide to secure a spot in their desired programs. The application window will remain open until August 10, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

Candidates are granted 24 choices for university placements. This selection can span across state universities, foundation universities, or institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. While the full quota of 24 choices is available, candidates are not obligated to fill every slot.

The entire application process is conducted digitally through the ÖSYM's official online system. To ensure accuracy, applicants must first thoroughly review the 2026 YKS Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide, paying close attention to program codes, special conditions, and qualifications. After logging into the ÖSYM ais.osym.gov.tr portal using their T.C. identification number and password, they will enter their chosen program codes sequentially. A final review of the order and codes is crucial before submitting the application by clicking the "Submit Choices" button. Failure to confirm choices will render them invalid, and applicants are advised to print a "Choice Results Document" upon completion.
