Turkey Weather: Scattered Showers Expected in West, Temperatures Above Norm

Turkey's weather on July 1 will feature partly cloudy conditions in the northern and western parts of the country, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM). Localized rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in the Çanakkale region, as well as in western and southern Balıkesir, and northern and eastern İzmir and Manisa. Most other areas are expected to have clear skies. Temperatures nationwide are forecast to be above seasonal averages. Winds will predominantly blow from the north and northeast, generally at light to moderate speeds. However, stronger winds, ranging from 30 to 50 km/h, are expected in the Muş, Bingöl, Batman, and Diyarbakır regions. Specific forecasts for major cities include Bursa (34°C), Istanbul (33°C), and Ankara (34°C), all under mostly clear skies. Coastal cities like Antalya (33°C) and Muğla (35°C) will also experience clear weather. The Black Sea region, including Samsun (30°C) and Trabzon (27°C), will remain mostly clear, as will Eastern Anatolia, with Erzurum at 27°C and Van at 26°C.
