Turkish Football Federation Approves President Hacıosmanoğlu's Accounts

The Turkish Football Federation's (TFF) ordinary financial general assembly has officially approved the financial accounts and activities of President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu and the TFF's board for the period between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026. The assembly, held in Ankara, saw 182 delegates in attendance, with Süleyman Hurma of Fatih Karagümrük elected as the chairman of the board.

In his address, TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu expressed gratitude to all stakeholders contributing to Turkish football. "Today, we are not just holding a financial general assembly. We are accounting for the great march that has brought Turkish football back to the World Cup stage and shaping future goals together," Hacıosmanoğlu stated. He proudly noted the national team's qualification for the World Cup after a 24-year absence, attributing the success to the team's spirit and character under coach Vincenzo Montella.

Hacıosmanoğlu stressed that World Cup qualification is merely a starting point, with the ultimate goal of establishing Turkey as a consistent and powerful presence in major international tournaments. He pointed to the men's national team's ascent in the FIFA rankings from 27th to 22nd during his tenure, and the women's national team's rise from 69th to 49th, also securing a World Cup playoff spot for the first time. "Our biggest goals include seeing our Women's National Team on the World Cup stage and ensuring they represent our country at the highest level," he added.

Highlighting the importance of a strong football economy for sustained success, Hacıosmanoğlu reported a significant expansion of the national team's sponsorship network. The TFF has secured 11 new partnerships, bringing the total to 32, a record in the federation's history. These collaborations have generated approximately 1.7 billion Turkish lira, underscoring a robust financial foundation for future endeavors.
