Turkish foreign minister calls Netanyahu an ‘enemy of security and humanity’

Turkey’s foreign minister said the new defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is not aimed at any particular country, while sharply attacking Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hakan Fidan said the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement is based on mutual defense and could develop into an expandable alliance. He said the arrangement would complement NATO and that the member states were preparing a roadmap for other countries to join.

Fidan also accused Netanyahu of committing genocide and called him “an enemy of security and humanity.” The agreement was signed by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan on August 7 in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
