TÜVTÜRK Warns Vehicle Owners About Inspection Appointment Scams

TÜVTÜRK, the Turkish vehicle inspection authority, has issued a warning to vehicle owners regarding appointment bookings. The company emphasized that all appointments for vehicle inspections must be made exclusively through official TÜVTÜRK channels and are entirely free of charge.

Vehicle owners can secure appointments via TÜVTÜRK's official website, its call center, station kiosks, or through the e-devlet (e-government) portal. The company strongly advises customers to meticulously check the web address and communication method before proceeding with any transaction. This caution is to prevent falling victim to scams that solicit payment for appointments or inspection fees through unofficial phone calls, SMS messages, emails, or other digital platforms.

TÜVTÜRK recommends reporting any such suspicious payment requests to TÜVTÜRK itself or to the relevant authorities. The inspection provider operates a comprehensive network across Turkey, including 219 fixed stations, 7 motorcycle stations, 75 mobile stations, and 19 mobile tractor stations. It explicitly stated that it does not have any partnerships with other platforms for its vehicle inspection appointment services.
