Twelve arrested after brawl at Yamit 2000 water park in Holon

Twelve suspects were arrested on Saturday in connection with a brawl that erupted at the Yamit 2000 water park in Holon, Israel. The incident led to minor injuries for two security guards, according to medical officials.

Police received a report of the fight around 3:00 PM and quickly deployed officers to the scene. They gained control of the situation and apprehended the 12 suspects, who are residents of southern Israel. All individuals were taken to the Holon police station for questioning.

Following the disturbance, the water park was closed to visitors. Authorities stated that the background to the brawl is criminal. This incident adds to a series of violent events that have occurred at pools and recreational facilities across Israel in recent years.

Similar incidents include a mass brawl at a pool in Arad in May, where chairs were thrown and three suspects were arrested, and a pool party in Eilat last August that escalated into a mass fight. Holon itself has experienced related incidents, including a fight between two women at the "Breeza" pool in July 2023.
