Twelve rescued after passenger vehicle overturns in flash floods near Tinghir

Twelve passengers escaped unharmed after flash floods caught their passenger vehicle on National Route 12 between Tinghir and Imilchil in southeastern Morocco.

The vehicle was carrying the passengers through the Bakdal area near the village of Agdal when floodwaters swept it away and overturned it in the river channel. The force of the water and difficult weather conditions created a serious danger for everyone inside.

Rescuers managed to save all 12 passengers and remove the vehicle from the channel. The incident ended without deaths or injuries.

As part of the emergency response, the Bouzmo municipal council, working with local authorities, deployed a municipal bulldozer to help recover the vehicle and secure traffic on the important road route. The incident occurred amid unstable weather in southeastern Morocco, particularly in mountainous areas where river levels can rise quickly during rain and flash floods.
