TWICE's Tzuyu wants to see 'Zhou Ziyi' aardvark, but has the wrong zoo

During her solo debut performance at the Kaohsiung Beer Music Festival, K-pop star Tzuyu of TWICE shared a unique wish with the audience. She mentioned knowing about the Shoushan Zoo in Kaohsiung and expressed a strong desire to visit a specific aardvark named "Zhou Ziyi" (周子蟻), a playful homophone of her own name.

However, fans quickly pointed out that Tzuyu had been misinformed about the aardvark's location. The popular aardvark is not housed at the Shoushan Zoo but resides at the "Wild Forest Animal School" (野森動物學校) in the Neimen district of Kaohsiung.

The aardvark, affectionately nicknamed "Zhou Ziyi," became a local sensation after the "Wild Forest Animal School" held a public naming contest for its baby aardvark earlier this year. The name "Zhou Ziyi" emerged as the most popular choice, quickly capturing the public's imagination and online attention. Tzuyu's mention of the aardvark highlights the animal's significant local popularity.
