Two Belgian teens seriously injured in Dutch highway crash

A serious car accident on the A50 highway in the Netherlands left two Belgian teenage girls with severe injuries. The incident occurred near Uden in the North Brabant province.

The vehicle carried seven occupants, all members of the same Belgian family. According to Dutch emergency services, the car veered off the road around 5:45 PM for reasons yet to be determined. The car overturned and ended up in a ditch beside the highway.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. All seven occupants of the car sustained injuries. The two girls, identified by Dutch media as 16 and 14 years old, were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Police have only confirmed they are minors.

Multiple ambulances, fire trucks, and two trauma helicopters were dispatched to the scene. The A50 direction Eindhoven was temporarily closed, causing traffic disruptions. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
