Two Bodies Found Hanging From Tepic Bridge With Threatening Messages

Authorities in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, discovered the bodies of two men hanging from the Los Lobos bridge on Saturday. The victims' identities have not yet been released.

Alongside the bodies, authorities found banners containing threatening messages. While initially attributed unofficially to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, these messages are reportedly directed at state officials. This discovery follows a week of increased cartel activity in the capital, including the appearance of banners linked to the faction of the Sinaloa Cartel loyal to Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada.

In response to the grim discovery, security forces have deployed increased surveillance operations throughout Tepic. The state government has announced its intention to reinforce security measures in coordination with federal authorities.
