Two citizens airlifted after serious crash on Sultan Said bin Taimur Street in Haima

Two Omani citizens sustained serious injuries and required urgent medical evacuation following a severe traffic accident on Sultan Said bin Taimur Street in the Wilayat of Haima. The incident occurred in the Saih Al Zamayim area when the vehicle carrying the two individuals collided with a truck.

The severity of their injuries necessitated immediate air transport. The Air Wing of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) successfully carried out a medical evacuation, airlifting the two citizens to Nizwa Hospital to receive specialized medical treatment. Their critical condition underscored the need for rapid, advanced medical intervention.

In addition to the two airlifted individuals, three other people were injured in the collision. Ambulance teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority transported these individuals to Haima Hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical care. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the cause of the crash.

The incident highlights the crucial role of the Royal Oman Police Air Wing in providing swift emergency medical responses, particularly in remote areas across the Sultanate. Their ability to quickly transport critically injured patients to specialized facilities can be life-saving.
