Two families devastated: child killed by train in Ialomița, woman torn apart by agricultural tiller in Vrancea

Two separate tragic accidents have claimed the lives of a woman and a child in Romania. In Vrancea County, a 31-year-old woman died Thursday morning after being caught in the tiller of an agricultural machine while working on farmland.

According to the Vrancea County Police Inspectorate, the woman was on the machinery when it hit a bump, causing her to fall into the mechanism. Police have initiated a criminal investigation for involuntary manslaughter to determine the full circumstances of the accident. Emergency services confirmed the woman sustained injuries incompatible with life at the scene.

In a separate incident in Ialomița County, a child estimated to be between 6 and 7 years old was fatally hit by a train near Halta Borcea. Firefighters and ambulance services responded to the scene, but the child's injuries were too severe. Investigations are underway to establish how the accident occurred.
